Rebecca Sheeder

Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Rebecca Sheeder is a 2016 graduate of Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio. After graduation, she completed her residency in primary care and low vision rehabilitation at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lake City, Florida. During residency, Dr. Sheeder expanded her skills treating a diverse set of patients, often with advanced sight-threatening conditions. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and currently working on attaining her fellowship. While originally from Florida, Dr. Sheeder missed the culture and atmosphere of Texas, and decided to make the move back to San Antonio.

Dr. Rebecca describes herself as a good conversationalist and easy-going. She loves to take the time to explain the process of her exams to patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, Pilates, cooking, travel, and hiking in Hill Country. She also recently adopted a puppy and is working on training him. Dr. Sheeder is excited to join the Vision Source team and looks forward to meeting patients of all ages.
