Dr. Kami Choy

Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Kami Choy is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist certified by the Texas Optometry Board in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, attending Tom C. Clark High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. She then went on to the University of Houston College of Optometry to pursue her dream of becoming an optometrist. During optometry school, she was an active member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society, Student Optometric Practice Management Association, Students’ Texas Optometric Association, and American Optometric Student Association. She completed her clinical training at the Santa Fe Indian Hospital in Santa Fe, New Mexico and at Lackland Air Force Base here in San Antonio.

Dr. Choy joined the Vision Source team in 2018 and is overjoyed to return to her hometown and serve her community. She strives to listen to her patients’ individual visual needs and provide quality eye care. When not seeing patients, Dr. Choy enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new places. Most recently, she went on a trip to Asia, visiting Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia. She is a lover of coffee, puzzles, and birdwatching.
